Anwar: Positive economic data strengthen ringgit

Positive economic indicators have strengthened the ringgit, reflecting confidence in the country’s economy, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Jan 27), Anwar, who also serves as Finance Minister, noted that rising investment, higher incomes, and lower unemployment underpin the currency’s resilience.
As of Tuesday morning, the ringgit traded at 3.9650/9750 against the US dollar, its highest level since May 2018.
