Anwar: Nations should discuss technological competition at highest level

Speaking at the Boao Forum for Asia in China’s Hainan province on Thursday (March 30), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Asia needs to establish certain guardrails to ensure competition did not lead to a bifurcation in the technological world as this will raise costs and impede further progress.

He said technological competition should be one of the principal agenda items for discussion at the highest levels and similar to discourses on security and general economic matters.
