Anwar denies cancelling 2026 Johor Felda Settlers’ Day

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has denied claims that he ordered the cancellation of the 2026 Johor Felda Settlers’ Day celebration in Kluang in early June.

Responding to a supplementary question from Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin (PN-Larut) during Prime Minister's Question Time on Tuesday (June 30), Anwar said the federal government had not instructed that the event be cancelled.

He said the only directive issued was that federal government machinery must not be used for any programme during an election campaign period.
