Anwar announces RM5mil allocation for Malaysian Youth Council

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced an increase in funding for the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) to RM5mil this year.

Speaking at the National Youth Day 2026 celebration in Negeri Sembilan on Friday (May 15), Anwar encouraged young people to think critically and speak out, including criticising national leaders, but stressed that such criticism should be guided by knowledge and moral principles.

He also defended the government's economic performance and urged youths to voice their views responsibly.
