An offence for public servants to accept funds including political donations

Public servants have no business seeking and accepting funds, including political donations.

The prosecution in its closing submissions in former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s graft trial at the Shah Alam High Court on Tuesday (Sept 6) said as a matter of fact, it was an offence to do so under Section 165 of the Penal Code.
