Amirudin: Pulau Carey port development in preliminary stages

Plans to develop a third port in Pulau Carey, Kuala Langat, are still at the preliminary stage, said Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the matter was discussed during a joint committee meeting on industrial coordination between the Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) and the Selangor government on Monday (Aug 4).

Amirudin added that if the project progresses as expected, it may be included in the 13th Malaysia Plan (2026–2030) or the Second Selangor Plan (RS-2), which is scheduled to be tabled in June 2026.
