Alor Setar MP upset after motion to discuss Zara Qairina case in Parliament rejected

Alor Setar MP Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden expressed disappointment over the rejection of his motion to debate the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir in Parliament.

At a press conference on Monday (Aug 11) with several Opposition MPs, he said his proposal last week was rejected as ministers would address the matter during the 13th Malaysia Plan winding-up session.

The Perikatan Nasional leader also proposed measures to improve student safety in schools and hostels.
