Abolishing bullying in schools as important as fighting corruption and drugs, says Anwar

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for a zero-tolerance approach to bullying in schools, saying it must be tackled as seriously as corruption and drug abuse.
Speaking at the launch of the National Education Plan 2026–2035 on Tuesday (Jan 20), Anwar said even isolated cases should not be taken lightly, warning that negligence and destructive behaviour undermine the purpose of education.
He stressed that the system must uphold human dignity and values, and urged students, educators and education leaders to work together to eradicate bullying.
