Malaysia missed out on topping Group B after going down 2-3 to Japan in their final group tie of the Thomas Cup in Horsens, Denmark on Wednesday (April 29). Despite the defeat, they are still through to the quarter-finals.

As for the national women’s team, they face a daunting task after being drawn against 16-time champions China in the quarter-finals of the Uber Cup.
