723 illegal immigrants and 138 ‘tekong’ nabbed in Ops Benteng, says senior minister

A total of 723 illegal immigrants (PATI) and 138 tekong (human smugglers) were arrested for entering the country's border illegally from May 1 to June 12, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Senior (Security) Minister said that on Saturday, adding that 12 individuals were detained for smuggling while 15 vessels were also confiscated in the operation.
