62 sacked from police force this year, says Deputy IGP

A total of 62 officers and personnel, who committed various offences including drug abuse have been fired this year, says Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police on Sunday (Aug 20) said the sackings were among the 741 actions taken in the first seven months of 2023, adding that police would never compromise in taking action against any officer or personnel who were involved in wrongdoings, including criminal activities.
