400,000 foreign workers hired for five critical sectors as of June, says Home Minister

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail told a press conference on Tuesday (June 27) that about 400,000 foreign workers had been hired by employers in the five critical sectors as of June.

He said another 100,000-odd quota would be filled to meet the sectors’ need for foreign workers, and this would be estimated to be 518,000.
