3,212 motorists attempting to “balik kampung” forced to turn back at roadblocks

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Wednesday (May 20) said the number of people attempting to cross state borders to head back to their hometowns in time for Hari Raya has increased, with more than 3,000 vehicles forced to turn back nationwide.

He stressed that the police were strict on the matter and would not allow anyone to cross state borders.
