Kinabatangan, Lamag polls: EC sets Jan 24 for polling day, Jan 10 for nomination day

The Election Commission (EC) has set Jan 24, 2026, as polling day for the Kinabatangan parliamentary and Lamag state by-elections in Sabah, following the death of incumbent Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin on Dec 5.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday (Dec 16) after a special meeting on key election dates, EC chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun said nomination day will be held on Jan 10, with early voting set for Jan 20.
