Umno will not intervene with Utusan’s decision, says sec-gen

Umno secretary general Tan Sri Annuar Musa told the press on Wednesday that the party only owns a small portion of Utusan Melayu’s shares and will not be interfering with the company’s decision to shut down its operations.

He added that ceasing the publication of Utusan was unfortunate as the paper has been around even before the country's independence.
