Three drown near Sungai Pedu pumphouse

In an attempt to save his two grand-daughters , 65-year-old Mohamad Ramli Ibrahim who jumped into Sungai Pedu in Kedah to rescue the girls also drowned.

The three victims were having a picnic around the area with several other family members during the Chinese New Year's holiday.

The incident happened just after they finished having their meal at the riverbank.
