SPAN to investigate burst water pipes in Klang

Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister Dr Xavier Jayakumar has urged the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) to carry out an investigation after three main water pipes burst at the Banting-Taiping West Coast Expressway (WCE) construction site on Monday.

During the site visit on Tuesday, Xavier said he will ask the Survey and Mapping department (Jupem) and the mineral Geosciences Department (JMG) to study the soil movement in the area. .

Meanwhile, Sentosa assemblyman Gunaraj George wants Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) to liaise with the assemblymen of affected areas when dispatching water tankers.
