Sivarasa: We stand by PM because he plays by rule of law now

Sungai Buloh MP and Rural Development Deputy Minister Sivarasa Rasiah said the Government supports Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s decision not to suspend Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

He said Dr Mahathir’s stand proves he is not what he was in 1998 when he sacked then Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who was then the Deputy Prime Minister.

He was commenting on why Azmin was treated differently by Dr Mahathir when the latter refused to ask Azmin to go on leave while authorities are investigating the sex video allegations.
