Report syndicates or NGOs that use children to beg, says Hannah

Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Hannah Yeoh urged members of the public approached by child beggars to report the matter to the authorities.

Speaking at a press conference in the Parliament lobby on Wednesday, Yeoh said those found guilty of exploiting children for begging face up to RM20,000 in fines or five years’ jail or both upon conviction under the Child Act.
