Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof on Friday held a press conference to quash rumours of his resignation.

“Once again, I reiterate that I’m not resigning and I will not resign. I will continue to work together with the other members of the Cabinet which is led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to strengthen the administration in these trying times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added that his party Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia will not stray away from the original struggle of the party when it was first established four years ago.

Bersatu has been split into two - one led by president Muhyiddin and another by embattled chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad - following the withdrawal of the party from the then ruling Pakatan Harapan coalition to form the new government with allies from Perikatan Nasional.

Rumours of another resignation from the Perikatan government has been rife, following the shock resignation of Datuk Shahruddin Md Salleh as Deputy Work Minister, who is now supporting the faction led by Dr Mahathir.
