Orang Asli not sidelined during MCO, says Senior Minister

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has denied allegations that the Orang Asli in the country have been sidelined during the movement control order (MCO).

The Senior Minister said that on Thursday, adding that the Orang Asli Affairs Department (Jakoa) has been giving aid since the MCO began.

Ismail Sabri announced that from April 2 to now, Jakoa has given aid to 49, 670 heads of households of the Orang Asli nationwide in 853 villages, and for the second phase, aid will be given to 55,000 heads of households, totalling RM6mil starting Friday.
