Najib’s lawyer: I work better under pressure

Lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah said that although he is disappointed with the judge’s decision to sentence his client Datuk Seri Najib Razak to 12 years in jail for criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering offences, he is not down and will continue to fight until the end.

Muhammad Shafee told the press after the trial on Tuesday that he believes that High court judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali is an honest judge but he did make various mistakes in his judgement in the SRC International trial.

Muhammad Shafee stressed that the defence has a strong case to win the appeal.
