China's world No. 7 men's singles shuttler Li Shifeng defended his Malaysia Masters title after overcoming Thailand's Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul 21-16, 21-17 in the final on Sunday (May 24).

Li became the second player after Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei to win the men's singles title for two or more times.
