It was unusual for Najib to not respond to my SMS, says ex-1MDB chairman

Former 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) chairman Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh told the High Court here that he suspected Datuk Seri Najib Razak was involved in financial misconduct after the former prime minister did not reply to an SMS.

Mohd Bakke, 68, said this was one of the main reasons he decided to resign from the post as well as a member of 1MBD’s board of directors in 2009, added that his resignation was a sign of protest.
