Ismail Sabri denies pushing for dissolution of Parliament

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has denied pushing for dissolution of Parliament to pave the way for snap polls.

The Defence Minister said that on Monday (Oct 26) during his daily press briefing and dismissed as fake a screenshot from an Umno division leaders' WhatsApp chat group circulating on social media, showing text allegedly written by him.

Ismail also said the dissolution of Parliament was not raised during the Cabinet meeting held earlier on Monday.
