Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the decision to sell the Malaysian government building in Hong Kong was made the then government, Barisan Nasional.

He said back then, the deal was for the building to be sold at RM1.1bil and it was made via direct negotiation with a local company.

Speaking to the reporters at the Parliament lobby on Tuesday, Lim said it should be done via an open tender.
