The government has allocated RM825mil for the Early School Assistance programme for all students under Budget 2023, which would see an increase of RM50 to RM150 for each student.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz also announced that RM777mil will be allocated for the Supplementary Food Plan scheme that is expected to benefit 800,000 students. The allocations are part of the RM55.6bil allocation for the Education Ministry.
