Dr M: Lower rate offered to Kg Baru landowners to ensure property prices are affordable to Malays

A higher price can be offered to Kampung Baru landowners for their plots, but that would mean their descendants might not be able to afford to live in that area anymore, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said higher land prices would lead to higher property prices that may be out of reach for many Malays.
