Chinese and Tamil education groups welcome khat calligraphy teaching next year

Chinese and Tamil education NGOs have agreed to the teaching of khat calligraphy to all Year Four students, as long as they will not be tested for the writing skills.

After meeting the representatives from 12 education NGOs including Dong Zong and Jiao Zong on Tuesday, Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching said a consensual decision was reached.
