BN, PAS call for dissolution of Parliament, want fresh elections

Barisan Nasional and PAS are calling for Parliament to be dissolved to give way to an election due to the current political uncertainty in the country.

In a special press conference on Tuesday, Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the power to decide should be returned to the people.

“The people’s mandate should not be neglected. We ask that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to allow for the Parliament to be dissolved,” he said after the MPs from Barisan Nasional and their allies were interviewed by the King on whom they supported as prime minister and their views on the political situation.
