Anwar accepts Selangor Sultan’s decree on zakat

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim said he abides by Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah's position that zakat should only be for Muslims.

When asked by reporters at the Parliament lobby on Wednesday, Anwar said his proposal was made in the spirit of a healthy debate as encouraged in Islam.
