AG gets leave to commence contempt proceeding against Shafee

Attorney General Tommy Thomas has obtained leave from the Kuala Lumpur High Court to initiate committal proceedings against lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah over his media statement in relation to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's case. The ex-parte application was filed last month and named Muhammad Shafee as the sole defendant.
