School dropout rate lower during pandemic than in previous years, Dewan Rakyat told

Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said concerted effort by education authorities helped reduce the number of school dropouts by more than 10,000 students during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Dec 6), he said based on statistics, a total of 11,301 school dropouts were recorded between March and December last year.
Whereas a total of 10,015 students dropped out of school between January and July this year.
