Muhyiddin says he will not resign, to table motion of confidence in September

In his special address on Wednesday (Aug 4), Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said his resignation as Prime Minister under Article 43(4) of the Federal Constitution does not arise and he will table a motion of confidence in the Dewan Rakyat in September.
He also said his proposal had received the approval from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Muhyiddin added that the Cabinet and the government administrative machinery will continue to function to discharge their responsibilities to the people and country, especially in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic.
