IGP calls out complacent officers, orders more stringent road checks from March 12

Tighter checks will be performed nationwide by the police from Friday (March 12) to ensure action is taken against those who flout standard operating procedures, especially those who travel interstate illegally, the Inspector-General of Police said.
Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said that on Thursday (March 11), and gave stern warning against police officers who had been lax in manning some state border checkpoints.
