About five masked men wearing black and believed to be of non-Chinese origin attacked Civil Human Rights Front leader Jimmy Sham with hammers and knives in the Mongkok district in Hong Kong on Wednesday night.
Pro-democracy lawmakers on Thursday condemned the attack amid tension in the Chinese city that has seen some of the worst violences in its recent history.
