Covid-19 update: 170 new cases, one death, 80 discharged

Malaysia recorded 170 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (Apr 7), taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 3,963 cases.
The country also reported one new death, bringing the Covid-19 death toll to 63.
This translates to a fatality rate of less than 2% out of the total number of cases, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said at the ministry’s daily Covid-19 briefing.
In terms of recoveries, Malaysia discharged 80 more patients as of 12pm on Tuesday.
So far, 1,321 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in Malaysia since the outbreak began.
The latest Covid-19 death case was a Malaysian male, aged 71, with a history of diabetes and high blood pressure.
