Covid-19 self-test kits: No plans to fix ceiling price yet

There are no plans at the moment to fix a new ceiling price for Covid-19 self-test kits, says Datuk Rosol Wahid.
The Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister said that in reply to Datuk Mohd Salim Sharif (BN-Jempol) in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Nov 29), adding that there are still some 17 million kits in stock and the government will allow market forces to determine the prices, to prevent manipulation and the self test kits will be sold at maximum price for profit.
Meanwhile, when responding to Mohd Salim's question on the proliferation of self-test kits offered online, Rosol reminded members of the public who buy self-test kits online to do so from suppliers who display their company registration.
