Covid-19: Sarawak has highest vaccination rate, death almost 18 times more likely for unvaccinated

As of Saturday (Nov 27), a total of 620,180 adults in Sarawak have received their Covid-19 booster shots, the highest number in the country, making up 30.4% of the state's adult population, says Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali.
The Deputy Health Minister said that in reply to Ahmad Johnie Zawawi (GPS-Igan) on Monday (Nov 29), adding that from Jan 1 till Saturday, there have been 29,809 Covid-19 deaths reported nationwide and unvaccinated individuals are 17.9 times more likely to die from complications compared to those who are inoculated.
