Village head says he has approached carbon filter factory operator but to no avail

The village head of Kampung Sungai Lembu in Bukit Mertajam, Penang said the villagers had approached the owner of an illegal carbon filter processing factory in the area at least three times to solve the air pollution issue, but to no avail. Penang exco member Phee Boon Poh, the factory manager and his son have been remanded for five days for a probe on the issue.
