Thai police have been instructed by its national headquarters to help farmers deliver rice from their barns to enable them to sell their crop directly to buyers.
The Doi Lor police in Chiang Mai are also doing home delivery services in certain districts of the province in an effort to help these farmers.
The station chief told reporters that online orders are also accepted.
Officers are also willing to deliver these goods to the doorsteps of buyers for free with a minimum order of five sacks of five-kilogramme bags.
Many of the orders made were placed by donors for charities, government shelters for the underprivileged and Buddhist temples.
