Rice farmers in Surin, Thailand have turned to selling palmyra fruits during the dry season to make ends meet.
They reportedly earn some 2,000 baht (US$57) per day from this side hustle.
It is common for rice farmers to find other means of earning a living during the dry season.
Some customers would buy them to make a famous Thai dessert where the fruit is cut into small pieces and mixed in syrup.
