Residents living in Chonburi, Thailand are collecting hard clams by the beach as a side income.
These include factory workers and housewives who use their free time in the afternoons to collect clams during the low-tide.
According to the locals, the clams have grown larger over the years due to the improved quality of the seawater.
Some of the clams would be sold to vendors who would resell them to restaurants for a higher price while the locals would also cook the clams for their own consumption or sun-dry the rest for future consumption.
