A family living in Sisaket, Thailand is earning a handsome income from selling brooms made of weeds.
This particular weed only grows near the Preah Vihear castle.
The family’s profit margins are high because they are able to obtain the materials for free.
A woman from the family managed to get a group of villagers to make some 10,000 brooms each year, which are sold at Bt50 apiece.
She claimed that her brooms are more durable than conventional ones.
