Villagers in Surat Thani, Thailand have come up with a clam-collecting festival which allows tourists to collect as many clams without any payment.
The festival aims to promote conservation tourism and allow tourists to see the lives of fishermen in the province.
Recently, local reporters were taken by boat to see the high population of clams in the area.
Despite the bustling clam-collecting activities, the community has preserved the mangrove forest and curbed illegal fishing in the area to maintain the high population of sea life.
